The Lake Pine Trail has two main entrances, one at Apex Community Park (2200 Laura Duncan Rd, Apex) and one at 1808 Lake Pine Dr, in Cary.  It was completely resurfaced in September 2018 and is easily the best maintained trail in Apex, with plenty of nice views of the lake.

Relatively mild elevation changes and markers every 1/4 mile make this a good location for speed work or interval training – unless it’s the weekend when the trail is very busy.
